The ALIS programme, which is cofinanced by AIR LIQUIDE and the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs for the 2011/2012 academic year, is intended for students from Saudi Arabia, Cameroon, Egypt, Ghana, India, Morocco, Russia, Senegal or Turkey who are currently enrolled at university in their home countries. Students must be undertaking study on a full time basis as a Commonwealth Supported student.The scholarship will provide $4,000 for one year to assist with education and living costs.Selection will be made on academic merit according to students’ cumulative Grade Point Averages for the preceding year/s and on the basis of financial need.Students must be able to demonstrate financial need by providing supporting documentary evidence at the time of application, e.g. details of income tested Commonwealth income support payment, such as Youth Allowance, Austudy, ABSTUDY benefits, or other details of their financial circumstances.Students in receipt of other major University of Adelaide Scholarships may not apply for this Scholarship. The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered; acceptance of the Scholarship offer cannot be deferred.
