The Fullbright Commission offers The Bristol University Awards to US Citizens for the year 2010/11 at the University of Bristol in UK

Each year, one award is offered to a US citizen for the first year of a postgraduate degree in any field at the University of Bristol. The successful candidate will be selected by the Fulbright Commission and the Institute of International Education (IIE) to receive a grant to be used towards tuition fees and maintenance costs.

Amount of the Award:

Grants are for up to £20,000 (pounds sterling), paid in installments directly to the grantee.


Eligibility Criteria:

Minimum eligibility for this award category:

  1. US citizen (resident anywhere but the UK)
  2. Rigor in scholarly enquiry and academic or professional excellence
  3. Strong reasons for wishing to pursue the proposed project in the UK
  4. Interest in the peoples and cultures of the UK
  5. Clear set of objectives for the Fulbright year
  6. Commitment to the host community through volunteer and extra-curricular activity.
