The American Association of University Women offers The American Fellowships to Women Doctoral Candidates for the academic year 2010/11 in USA
American Fellowships support women doctoral candidates completing dissertations or scholars seeking funds for postdoctoral research leave from accredited institutions. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Candidates are evaluated on the basis of scholarly excellence, teaching experience, and active commitment to helping women and girls through service in their communities, professions, or fields of research.
Eligibility:
- Women doctoral candidates completing dissertations or scholars seeking funds for postdoctoral research leave from accredited institutions.
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
Types of Fellowships:
- Postdoctoral Research Leave Fellowships.
- Dissertation Fellowships.
- Summer/Short-Term Research Publication Grants.
Application Procedure:
- Applications must be submitted online by 5:00 p.m., central time, November 15, 2009*.
- All supporting documents must be received by November 15, 2009*, at the Iowa City, Iowa, office.
- Applications and supporting documents will be accepted on the following business day if the deadline falls on a weekend.
