PhD Scholarships 2010-Copenhagen University-Denmark
The University of Copenhagen invites applications from Graduate Students for PhD Scholarships for the year 2010 in Denmark
IT University of Copenhagen (ITU) invites applications for a number of PhD scholarships starting in February 2010 in any of the faculty groups represented at ITU. A successful applicant will be an excellent student capable of conducting research under supervision by the IT University’s faculty members at the highest international level.
Eligibility:
The following qualifications are accepted:
- A Master’s degree (5 years of University Studies) qualifies for a 3-year PhD program.
- A Bachelor degree (3 years of University Studies) + one year (60ECTS) qualifies for the 4-year PhD program. The 60 ECTS should be transferable to one of the Master programs at the IT University.
- One year of full time studies consists of 1680 hours and equals 60 ECTS points.
Application Procedure:
- Applications must be written in English. All other documents, such as transcripts must be accompanied by a translation in English if not already written in English or Danish. Transcripts that are not issued by a country of the European Union must be accompanied by a grade key or an explanation of your local grading scale (in English).
- Your application must include items 1 -4. Items 5 & 6 are optional:
- Completed application form
- Statement of purpose (max. 5 pages)
- Documentation of previous studies; transcripts, diplomas etc.
- Curriculum vitae
- Optional enclosures
- Either an abstract of your thesis or a selected publication
- Letters of recommendation are optional as academic records and work will be considered more important.
