Institute for Humane Studies offers Film and Fiction Scholarships for the 2010/11 session for students pursuing a Master of Fine Arts degree at George Mason University,US

Film & Fiction Scholarships of up to $10,000 are awarded by the Institute for Humane Studies to students pursuing a Master of Fine Arts degree and who share an appreciation for the potential and promise of a free society. During the past ten years, IHS has awarded more than $270,000 in scholarships.The scholarship can be used towards tuition and expenses, and is open to students pursuing an MFA full-time in the 2010-2011 school year.


Eligibility:

The applicants must:

  1. Be pursuing a Master of Fine Arts degree.
  2. share an appreciation for the potential and promise of a free society.
  3. be pursuing MFAs in a variety of areas are eligible(film directing,production,screenwriting  playwriting,fiction writing)


How to apply:

  1. As part of your application you will need to ask three individuals to complete an evaluation of you.
  2. Applicants interested must submit the application form well in time before the deadline expires.
