The University of Ghent offers The Joint Erasmus Mundus Masters Program in Photonics to Non EU and EU Students for the year 2010/11 in UK

Five leading research and educational institutions in Europe are collaborating to offer a joint Erasmus Mundus Master of Science program in Photonics, providing a top-quality eduction in all aspects of photonics. The master programme has a duration of two years (120 ECTS points), with students spending a year in two different countries.

Eligibility:

Non EU and EU Graduate Students.

Application Process:

  1. Fill out the online registration form and obtain your personal application ID.
  2. Upload an electronic version of a completely filled in standard application form during online registration.
  3. Your application file should consist of the following documents. All documents should mention your personal application ID. Files not mentioning the application ID will not be accepted!
  4. A completed and signed standard application form.
  5. A copy of the pasport or other official identification proof.
  6. Two letters of recommendation using the standard form under sealed enveloppe (doc)
  7. Legalised copies of diplomas and a translation in English. If legalised copies of diplomas are not available at the time of application, an original statement from your current university about the studies done so far and the studies currently being done must be provided. In addition a legalised copy of your registration (or student card) must be provided.
  8. Copies of diploma supplements stating courses followed and scores obtained per course and a translation in English. (This is also known as a transcript of the degree)
  9. Copies of language test scores (TOEF OR IELTS) or certificate stating that you received education in English. The TOEFL score sheet should be directly sent to Ghent University (institution code: 2643). A copy of the TOEFL score sheet should also be included in your application documents! In case of IELTS an original test report form should be included in your application documents.
  10. Contact details (name, telephone, email, address) of a professor (or dean) who is well acquainted with the study programme that was taken by the applicant
  11. Contact details (name, telephone, email, address) of the persons who have been requested to provide reference letters. This may include the person meant under 7.
