Bursaries For The New Zealand Citizens For Undergraduate/Postgraduate Studies  In University Of  Massey At New Zealand In 2011

Description:
Bootten Bequest Bursaries are available to support students in their first year of tertiary study who are in difficult financial circumstances. The Bootten Bequest is also used to make repayable hardship loans to both undergraduate and postgraduate students.Tenure And Value:
The Bootten Bequest Bursaries will have a value, as funds permit, up to $2000 each per annum.

Eligibility:
Open to internal, extramural, or mixed mode students enrolled full-time, (for a minimum of 105 credits) in the first year of a first undergraduate degree at any Massey University campus,
Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents.

Criteria:

Preference will be given to students who can demonstrate financial hardship, and who also have a record of academic success in their studies to date. Evidence of good character may also be taken into consideration.

Responsibility:

The bursaries will be awarded on the recommendation of the Scholarships Committee.

Conditions Of The Award:
In recommending the award of a bursary the Scholarships Committee will take account of other scholarships and bursaries held by the applicant with a view to achieving a reasonable distribution of monies among qualifying candidates.
The Scholarships Committee may withdraw or suspend an award at any time.

Payment:
The Bursary will be paid in two instalments in April and August.
