Job Description:
INPEX Scholarship Foundation was established in tokyo, Japan as Non-profit organization under the permission of minister of education, based on the fund offered by INPEX Corporation (which was named Indonesia Petroleum Co. at that time), a Tokyo based oil exploration company, to promote mutual understanding, friendship and goodwill by exchange of education, art and natural sciences through the scholarship program between Indonesia and Japan. The main program is to offer scholarship awards to Indonesian youths, who have graduated from universities in Indonesia and live in Indonesia, and who wish to study the subjects in the fields of natural science in the GraduateSchool of Universities in Japan for Master’s Degree, and to offer scholarship awards to Japanese youths also who wish to study in Indonesia.Requirements:
* Those who have the nationality of the Republic of Indonesia and have studied the course of Natural Science in the prestigious national universities in Indonesia more than 16 years of of school education, and not more than 30 years of age when application is submitted, having “SARJANA” degree* Those who have the aim to study the course of natural science in the master’s degree course of universities in Japan, and were permitted or are expected to be permitted to enter university
* Those who have excellent result of school record, (cumulative GPA more than 3), and are in good health
* Those who have been permitted to get scholarship from foundation by their belonging institutes, universities, or companies.
* Those who have interest in the friendly relations between the Republic of Indonesia and Japan are prepared to contribute the promotion of such relations
* Those who have not been awarded other scholarships in Japan
Characteristics Of INPEX Scholarship Foundation:
We select our scholarship students from applicants residing in Indonesia while many other Japanese scholarship foundations choose their students from foreign applicants who have already been living or studying in Japan. As we ask SEKNEG (State Secretariat of the Republic of Indonesia), DPN (Ministry of National Education), LIPI (Indonesian Institute of Sciences) and the main national universities to distribute our “ANNOUNCEMENT FOR SCHOLARSHIPS” and “APPLICATION FORM FOR SCHOLARSHIPS” to many institutions under the relevant authorities, a lot of the government employees (young researchers and young lecturers) apply for our scholarships program. Our Foundation helps a grantee from Indonesia to study at the Japanese language class and to enter in a master program course of the university in Japan in cooperation with the university’s professor who recommend the grantee to us. For international students, an increasing number of graduate schools in Japan place their entrance examination and hold classes in English language but the importance of studying Japanese language should not be ignored. Our Foundation also assists a grantee to obtain Japanese entry visa, lodging and so on when he/she enters a university in Japan. Our scholarship award includes the admission fee for each of a Japanese language school and a Graduate School, and living expenses, traveling expenses etc. Regarding Japanese students, our Foundation has, from the first term year until now, consistently assisted students to study in Indonesia while almost all other scholarship foundations accept students who wish to study at American or European Universities.
