Massey University offers The James Lockie Stewart Scholarships to New Zealand Undergraduate Citizens for the year 2010/11 in New Zealand
The James Lockie Stewart Scholarships have been established to encourage New Zealand students to obtain tertiary education in agriculture or horticulture. James Lockie Stewart, a former lawyer and accountant from Wellington, set up the Stewart Charitable Trust before his death in 1999 and one of its aims was to fund a number of university scholarships.The James Lockie Stewart Scholarships shall each have a value up to $2,500 per annum.
Eligibility:
- Candidates must be enrolled full-time for a Bachelor of AgriScience degree (all majors are eligible), a Bachelor of AgriCommerce, or the Agricultural Science or Horticultural Science major of a Bachelor of Science degree, and must be in the first year of their programme. Bachelor of Environmental Management students who can demonstrate in their application a genuine interest in agriculture will also be considered.
- Candidates must be New Zealand citizens.

Applications close with the Scholarships Office, Graduate Research School on 10 March in the year in which the award is to be made.
