Queen’s University Centenary Gold Medal Entrance Scholarships/University’s A-Level Entrance Scholarships for the year 2009 for those who undertake a primary degree in UK

All students entering the University for the first time to undertake a primary degree, and who have achieved at least three ‘A’ grades at A-Level (including AVCEs), can apply to be considered for the Queen’s Centenary Gold Medal Entrance Scholarships or one of the University’s A-Level Entrance Scholarships.

Scholarship value:

Three Queen’s Centenary Gold Medal Scholarships are available each year to the top entrant to each of the three faculties (Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences; Engineering and Physical Sciences; and Medicine, Health and Life Sciences), worth £7,500 over three years, i.e. £2,500 per annum

A further twenty A-Level Entrance Scholarships, to the value of £1,000 each, for one year only, is available.

Eligibility:

All students entering the University for the first time to undertake a primary degree, and who have achieved at least three ‘A’ grades at A-Level (including AVCEs), are eligible to apply for the Queen’s Centenary Gold Medal Scholarships or one of the University’s A-Level Entrance Scholarships.

Application procedure:

1. Application forms may be downloaded online. They will also be available at registration, or from the Student Guidance Centre or email:  sgc@qub.ac.uk.
2. The recipients will be determined on the basis of their A-Level marks and the onus will be on applicants to forward completed application forms, along with documentary evidence of their uniform examination marks at A2 level, to Student Guidance Centre by 4.30 pm on Friday 16 October 2009.

Scholarship deadline:

4.30 pm on Friday 16 October 2009.
